Learning new binding structures require the self permission to fail. Most binders when learning a new method construct a book model. Through the trial of new stitching, fore-edge painting, leather onlay techniques, the binder tests their vision. The book model allows for the growth of the binder’s skill set by learning through mistakes and success.
