Esther Kibby received a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from Texas Woman’s University where she was first exposed to book arts with Susan Kae Grant. Since 2001, she has worked with bookbinding structures in fine art binding and as a book artist. She continued her book binding studies with Sally Key, David Lawrence and Jim Croft.
Ms. Kibby is a retired instructor in graphic design, book arts and photography. Her work has exhibited in several North American venues including the DeGolyer Triennial. In 2006, she was awarded the Jury Prize for Design in the Fourth Helen W. DeGolyer Triennial American Bookbinding Competition. She is a member of the Lone Star Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers where she has served as co-chair for the chapter’s 2011-2012 member exhibition for The Thread That Binds.
